Whatever is true, Whatever is noble.
As an artist that naturally leans toward realism and capturing truth in the way it is seen, I find that creating more abstracted work of the horse challenges me in a unique way that realism doesn’t offer. The focus is more the essence, the feel, the color, the experience of the horse rather than the absolute truth of the horse as it is. The aim is not to create what is seen in a natural way but to go beyond what is seen as it is. It becomes something else completely and the mystery of these pieces intrigue me about the horse, and about myself.
