Change Your Perspective Often

The reality is sometimes when you’re looking as hard as you possibly can at something you still can’t see how things actually are or discover the truth of a thing... Even when it’s right in front of you. Even when you know it well. The translation of that thing gets clouded by our pre-conceived perceptions about it. Many times I cannot see a thing more clearly until I step back and squint my eyes so that everything becomes blurry and what I am looking at is broken down into basic shapes of light and dark. It is easy to get caught up in the little details and completely get the most essential parts of a composition or subject wrong. Sometimes you have to change your perspective to be able to see more accurately. Time and time again I find this to be true in my work and also in life.
